Fleet Mechanic

  • Employee will be responsible to maintain the fleet of semi tractors and trailers in optimal working condition.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and perform annual inspections on fleet.
  • Graduate of diesel mechanics school and 2 years work experience in diesel mechanics is preferred but willing to work with motivated new graduate.
  • Candidate must be able to prioritize work and be able to adapt to changing needs.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Production Workers / Manufacturing / Pallet Repair

We have a large variety in the type of work our teams do. We have openings on our production crew in several areas of the manufacturing process. Not sure which role is right for you? No problem! Send us your application or resume and we can help figure that out based on unique skills and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Build new and used pallets
  • Understand quality, and customer requirements for finished product
  • Repair and dismantle pallets
  • Cut wood and stack properly according to pallet facility guidelines
  • Sort and stack according to guidelines and work instructions
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Work safely as part of a team and individual
  • Must have the ability to safely and knowledgeably operate the following tools: pallet dismantler, table saw, chop saw, pneumatic nail gun, pallet jack, forklift, hand tools

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of hardwood and softwood a plus
  • Must be able to sort pallets and recognize repairable and unrepairable
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively with a variety of people
  • Must be knowledgeable in proper loading, unloading, and strapping techniques
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50–75 pounds on a consistent basis and stand for 10 hours.
  • Nail gun usage
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Like to work in a fast paced environment
  • Previous experience in production or construction helpful
  • High school diploma or equivalent life experience
  • Good work ethic
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Some of our jobs are paid on piece rate, so your hard work and dedication will control your hourly wage earned.

Truck Driver - Class A CDL

Hay Creek Express is seeking part-time and full-time Class A CDL truck drivers to deliver and pick up materials and other items within a 100-mile radius of our location in Pittsville, WI. Our drivers are home every night. Our normal operating hours are from 7am - 5pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime as needed and available.

Compensation:

$17.50+ per hour (opportunity for advancement)

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and pickup product and other items within a 100 mile radius of Pittsville, WI.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of materials on and off of truck trailers.
  • Operate equipment safely and maintain on-time movement of shipments.
  • Conduct trip safety inspections.
  • Maintain quality customer relations with shippers and receivers.
  • Must be able to sweep out walking floor trailers and strap and unstrap flat bed trailers.
Qualifications:
  • Active Class-A CDL license and two (2) years of safe Class-A CDL driving.
  • No DUI/DWI charges within the last 3 years.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
