Truck Driver - Class A CDL

Hay Creek Express is seeking part-time and full-time Class A CDL truck drivers to deliver and pick up materials and other items within a 100-mile radius of our location in Pittsville, WI. Our drivers are home every night. Our normal operating hours are from 7am - 5pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime as needed and available.

Compensation:

$17.50+ per hour (opportunity for advancement)

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and pickup product and other items within a 100 mile radius of Pittsville, WI.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of materials on and off of truck trailers.
  • Operate equipment safely and maintain on-time movement of shipments.
  • Conduct trip safety inspections.
  • Maintain quality customer relations with shippers and receivers.
  • Must be able to sweep out walking floor trailers and strap and unstrap flat bed trailers.
Qualifications:
  • Active Class-A CDL license and two (2) years of safe Class-A CDL driving.
  • No DUI/DWI charges within the last 3 years.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic

The Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic will inspect automobiles, trucks and related equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary overhaul or repair, and complete those repairs. They will also maintain the parts inventory and fill orders as necessary. 

Responsibilities

  • Inspect automobiles, trucks, trailers and related equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary overhaul or repair required. Perform preventive maintenance work on vehicles, including lubrication and oil changes. 
  • Perform repair work on gasoline and diesel powered engines such as automobiles, trucks, tractors, equipment and other automotive and mechanical equipment. Repair cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems; tune engines using standard testing equipment. Fabricate and weld to repair equipment as necessary. 
  • Inspect, adjust and replace necessary units and related parts including brakes, valves, hoses, belts and alternators.
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain hydraulic systems. 
  • Maintain inspection and repair logs.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: High school or general education diploma (GED). Minimum of two (2) year experience of responsible vehicle and equipment maintenance.
  • License or Certificate: Possession of a valid Class B driver’s license with air brake endorsement.Certified in brake inspection and repairs. Certified to perform AVIs
  • Adaptability: The individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Skills: Results driven with attention to details. Demonstrates critical thinking, proactive and problem solving skills. Demonstrate proactive and problem solving skills. 

Compensation:

$16 - $19 per hour

Custom Product Builders

Hay Creek Pallet is looking for custom product builders. 

This job will be challenging, however you’ll be part of a great team with a positive and proactive work culture. 

  • Hay Creek Companies uses a team approach to ensure new employees excel and are mentored through the early stages of employment. 
  • Frequent lifting and nail gun usage will be part of the daily job.

Compensation:

  • Hay Creek will offer a base wage to start, however, after that we put you in charge of your paycheck through production and efficiency incentives. 
  • Custom product builders can expect approximately 40 hours per week, and wages ranging from $15-20 per hour including incentives. 
  • We offer other benefits as well to complement our forward thinking work atmosphere.
